A published ‘space’ in which visual artists use text as a medium that contains a category of writing called ‘writing for art’ – neither a journal of critical theory, nor a literary review. ‘Knight’s move’ also affords academic writers an opportunity to write in an informal or experimental mode. The writing is not authoritative, not literature, not poetry. At least, not yet. Our role is to co-curate the work with the editor into the broadsheet space. ‘Knight’s move’ is distributed to university staff, students, London art institutions and galleries.
