Founded in 1931, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is the world’s oldest inter-university network. It promotes the interests and facilitates the work of over 500 member universities. We were asked to design an authoritative review, press release, folder and envelope that would signal strategic change and deliver them in time for the annual conference at which the corporate evolution plan would be discussed. At first glance, the review has little in common with its predecessors. But it is built firmly on the same foundations. Corporate logotype, colours and fonts are all present and correct. The identity was pared back to its constituent parts and reassembled in straightforward, documentary style. To add gravitas and presence, we chose a larger format and added a dust jacket. The additional materials take their cue from the review to form a strong platform for future developments.
